Scheduled for 29th and 30th September 2025, AI Expo 2025 aims to position Sri Lanka as an AI Hub in the Asia–Pacific region and to accelerate the systematic introduction of artificial intelligence across all economic sectors. The government’s vision is to expand the digital economy, valued at US$3.5 billion in 2025, to US$15 billion by 2030, with AI expected to contribute 10%–12% of that growth.

The 8th edition of the India–Sri Lanka Bilateral High Level Meeting was successfully held on 11th August 2025 at the Indian Coast Guard Headquarters in New Delhi.
