The Management Committee of the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund, established on the instructions of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to assist the country’s recovery following Cyclone Ditwah, met this morning (03) at the Presidential Secretariat.
A Pakistan Air Force C-130 aircraft carrying relief cargo and an elite search and rescue team arrived in Sri Lanka this evening (03) at 6.45 p.m. The consignment was formally received by Deputy Minister Janitha Ruwan Kodithuwakku and handed over by the High Commissioner of Pakistan in Colombo.
Daily contributions continue to flow into the Government’s ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund, established to provide relief to communities affected by Cyclone Ditwah. The Sri Lanka Administrative Service Association and Pragathi Lanka International Pvt. Ltd. made financial donations to support the ongoing relief efforts, today (03).

Bangladesh dispatched a humanitarian relief consignment to Sri Lanka this afternoon (03) to support ongoing recovery efforts following the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah.
Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya stated that, given the prevailing situation, it is necessary to be strategic and to make certain adjustments within the budget while properly strengthening the investments ensuring that actions are discharged on proper policies.
