Landslide Red Notices Issued for Kandy and Nuwara Eliya Districts
In terms of Article 41(1) of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Dr. Mahinda Parakrama Dissanayake, a distinguished maritime, logistics and corporate leader, as the Advisor to the President on Maritime, Ports and Logistics with immediate effect.
It has been observed that certain individuals and media organisations are disseminating distorted and misleading information through some electronic and social media platforms with malicious intent regarding the staffing of the Clean Sri Lanka programme, its financial utilisation and the use of Government vehicles.
The prevailing weather system in the southwest Bay of Bengal may intensify into a deep depression, according to Director General of the Department of Meteorology, Athula Karunanayake.

Under the Rebuilding Sri Lanka programme, the inaugural phase of the construction of new houses and the payment of compensation to replace homes that were completely damaged by cyclone Ditwah will commence tomorrow (09) in the Anuradhapura and Kurunegala districts under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
