The Government has extended the validity period of school shoe vouchers worth Rs. 3,000 issued for the year 2026, providing relief to eligible students and parents.
The vouchers, which were originally scheduled to expire on February 28, 2026, can now be redeemed until March 15, 2026.
The programme benefits selected school students, as well as lay and clergy students of Pirivenas and Silmathas. The extension ensures that all eligible recipients are given additional time to obtain their school shoes without inconvenience.
