Special District Coordination Committee Meeting for Matale Commences Under the Patronage of the President

The Special District Coordination Committee Meeting for Matale commenced this morning (12) at the District Secretariat, Matale under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

The meeting is scheduled to review compensation payments for the loss of lives and property caused by Cyclone Ditwah, the measures taken to restore housing and normalcy to affected communities and the progress of development projects being implemented under the 2026 Budget allocations, including the Matale Urban Development Plan.

The progress and future plans of the nationwide anti-narcotics programme, “A Nation United” is also expected to be discussed during the meeting.
