The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has announced that the landslide red alert issued for two districts has been extended until 9.00 a.m. tomorrow (10).
Accordingly, red alerts remain in effect for the Udadumbara Divisional Secretariat area in the Kandy District, and the Nildandahinna and Walapane Divisional Secretariat areas in the Nuwara Eliya District.
Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology has advised that the Wilgamuwa Divisional Secretariat area in the Matale District should remain alert for possible landslides.
