The Coordination Office established for the “Sri Lanka Broadcasters' Symposium 2026,” organized by the Sri Lanka Broadcasters' Association with the support of the Department of Government Information, was officially opened yesterday (15) under the patronage of Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.
The symposium aims to bring together professionals in the broadcasting sector, representatives of media institutions, technical experts and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge and experiences on current trends, technological advancements, future challenges and emerging opportunities in the broadcasting industry.
Particular attention will be given to digital technology, modern broadcasting methods, media content production, audience needs and the future direction of the broadcasting industry.
The programme is also expected to further strengthen cooperation between the Sri Lanka Broadcasters' Association and the Department of Government Information, while contributing to the enhancement of professional standards and efficiency in Sri Lanka's broadcasting sector.
Director General of Government Information H.S.K.J. Bandara, officials of the Ministry of Health and Mass Media, and other invitees were present at the occasion.
