One hundred recruits selected for the post of Railway Engine Driver Assistant Grade III were presented with their letters of appointment yesterday (14), as part of a programme to develop human and physical resources to transform the railway service into a more efficient and quality service.
Nearly 1,500 employees have been recruited to various positions within the Railway Department so far this year to ensure the continuous and systematic provision of railway services.
Meanwhile, the Railway Department has planned to conduct recruitments in 2027 for vacancies including Railway Station Masters, Railway Guards and Technical Officers, based on approved competitive examinations.
