President Receives Warm Welcome from the People of Vietnam

President Anura Kumara Disanayake has appointed Acting Ministers for four ministries in view of his departure from the country on an official state visit to Vietnam, undertaken at the invitation of President Luong Cuong of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
At the invitation of His Excellency Luong Cuong, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, President Anura Kumara Disanayake departed Sri Lanka yesterday (03) on a state visit to Vietnam. He arrived at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi this morning (04).

President Anura Kumara Disanayake departed for Vietnam a short while ago, commencing his official state visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
At the invitation of the President of Vietnam, H.E. Luong Cuong, President Anura Kumara Disanayake will undertake a State Visit to Vietnam from May 4 to 6. Accordingly, the President is scheduled to depart Sri Lanka on the night of May 3.
Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya stated that the removal of landmines in the Northern and Eastern provinces not only constitute the elimination of physical threats and danger but also address a national imperative aimed at restoring the dignity, livelihoods, and peaceful living conditions of the people.
