Thawee Samaraweera, a student at St. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia, has reached 6th place in the world table tennis rankings for the under-11 age group.
This achievement is the highest position ever achieved by a Sri Lankan table tennis player in any age group.
He also managed to advance to 33rd place in the under-13 age group table tennis rankings.
Accordingly, Thawee Samaraweera has also been able to remain among the top 100 in the world rankings in two age groups.
