The Education Ministry issuing a statement said that there was absolutely no truth in social media claims that the GCE A/L examination scheduled to be held in August 2020 would
be postponed. The Health Ministry noted that no decision regarding the examination has been taken so far.
In the face of the Coronavirus which has plunged the entire world into chaos, we as a nation have been facing this situation with courage and in a scientific manner. Hence, the Education Ministry appealed to these rumour mongers not to post such irresponsible statements on social media at a time when the whole country is battling a very dangerous situation.
Therefore, the Education Ministry warned the public to only rely on credible official statements issued by the government.
