According to Navy media. the patient, who had been suffering from a severe chest pain, was brought back ashore on board the naval craft and handed over to his relatives at Oluvil harbour. He was subsequently admitted to Akkaraipattu base hospital.

On information received from the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Sri Lanka Navy had immediately dispatched a naval craft yesterday (21) to assist a patient on board a fishing trawler named 'Manoch Malli 10' which was at 45 nautical miles east of Oluvil.
