Around 80,000 farmers across the country had sold their paddy to the PMB during this period. But, during the previous regime the maximum amount of paddy purchased by the PMB was only 30 000 metric tonnes.

The Paddy Marketing Board (PMB) has purchased the highest paddy harvest of 147,000 metric tons at a cost of Rs.7,700 million during the 2014/2015 Maha Season, PMB revealed.
