Four hundred and Sixty Eight male and female workers who had been employed by the National Housing Development Authority on contract, casual and daily paid bases for more than 180 days will be given permanent appointments by the Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Public Utilities Wimal Weerawansa today (04) at 3.30 pm. at the Pradeepa Hall in Maligawatte.
These permanent appointments will be given to workers who have completed 180 days on the above bases, as set out in the 2015 Budget proposals under the Mahinda Chinthana Vision for the Future.
Deputy Minister of Construction, Engineerisng Services, Housing and Public Utilities Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Secretary to the Ministry P.H.L.Wimalasiri Perera, Chairman of the Housing Development Authority Jayantha Samaraweera and Officers will attend. (NJ/KH)
