Suren Kanna who met SLFP National Organiser, Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa obtained SLFP membership and pledged to work for the victory of UPFA Presidential Candidate  Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Presidential Election of 2015. Suren Kanna who was a UNP Candidate for the Bandarawela Pradeshiya Sabha Election of 2011 was elected its Opposition Leader and was also the UNP Plantation union, Youth Committee Chairman todate.

He said that he joined the SLFP to support President Rajapaksa’s national development programme and his campaign to build ethnic harmony. (HC/SDF)
