There is a possibility of increased wind speed over the island (Particularly in the central hills and Sabaragamuwa, North-central, Central, Uva and Southern provinces and in the Batticaloa and Ampara districts) and Western, Southern sea areas said the Met Department.
Showers will occur at times in the Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle, Matara and Kalutara districts.
Several spells of showers will occur in the North-western province and in the Colombo, Gampaha and Hambantota districts.
Fairly heavy falls (about 50mm) can be expected at some places in the Ratnapura, Kegalle, Kandy, Galle, Matara and Kalutara districts.
