Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara requested the Ministry of Health and the Dengue Control Unit of the Health Ministry to take steps to destroy mosquito breeding grounds at the government schools that are to be used as examination centers for the G.C.E.(A.L.) Examination -2017 and the Grade Five Scholarship Examination -2017.
The G.C.E.(A.L.) Exam is to be held from August 8 to September 2 while the Grade Five Scholarship Examination is to be held on August 20.
Meanwhile, all Provincial and Zonal Education Directors have been instructed to provide all possible security and health safety to the candidates of these examinations.
Parents of the candidates too have been informed by the Department of Examinations to offer possible assistance to examination staff to control Dengue during this period. (CDN)
