Sri Lanka has called for the immediate de-escalation of rising tensions in the Middle East and West Asia, expressing deep concern over the rapidly worsening situation and its threat to civilian populations.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-western and Uva provinces after 2.00 pm.
A special discussion on the next steps to be taken in view of the situation arising from the conflict in the Middle East was held this afternoon (15) under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya stated that a new curriculum will be introduced for preschools in 2027, while steps will also be taken to train teachers accordingly and to regulate preschools through a regulatory authority.
