The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has decided to reduce the 24-hour water cut currently imposed in several areas of the Colombo District to a maximum of 18 hours.
Accordingly, this decision applies to Padukka, Homagama, Pelanwatta, and Pannipitiya areas. The Board stated that the move was taken after considering requests made by water consumers.
Meanwhile, the existing water cut in Battaramulla, Pamankada, Wellawatte, and Nawela areas will continue as scheduled, with a three-hour interruption from 10.00 p.m. to 1.00 a.m. on an every-other-day basis.
