The Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs Mr. Ananda Wijayapala has made an emergency observation visit to the Police Hospital in Narahenpita recently.
He discussed the problems and shortcomings of the hospital with the hospital staff and inquired about the well-being of the patients receiving the treatment there.
The minister has also instructed the relevant Divisions to take necessary measures to meet the existing deficiencies and needs of the hospital.
Many senior officials, including Mr. Ravi Senevirathne, the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, and the Acting Inspector General of Police, Mr. Priyantha Weerasuriya, have also participated for this occasion.
