Students from Velapura Maha Vidyalaya and Kirama Dhammananda Maha Vidyalaya in Kalutara, Al-Arsath Maha Vidyalaya in Sammanthurai, and Poramadulla Central College in Rikillagaskada were given the opportunity yesterday (10) to participate in the “Vision” programme organised by the Presidential Secretariat.
The programme is conducted jointly by the Presidential Secretariat, the Ministry of Education and the Parliament Department of Communication, with the aim of inspiring and educating school students.
During the event, Mr Kapila Bandara, Senior Additional Secretary to the President, delivered an insightful lecture on future leadership and the qualities that define an effective leader.
In line with the programme, as a symbolic gesture highlighting the importance of environmental conservation, valuable saplings were presented to the participating schools.
The event was also attended by Air Commodore Asiri Gallage, Director of the Tri-Forces Coordination Unit of the Presidential Secretariat, and Major Nadika Dangolla, its Assistant Director, along with the principals and teachers of the participating schools.
