Sri Lanka Advances 14 Places in 2026 Global Peace Index, Ranks Second in South Asia

According to the 2026 Global Peace Index, Sri Lanka has moved up 14 places and is now ranked 67th in the world. The country has also secured the second position in South Asia in the latest rankings.

The report states that Iceland holds the top position in the Global Peace Index, while Russia is ranked at the bottom of the list.
