The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced that water supply in parts of the Colombo District will be suspended according to a schedule, in response to the prevailing dry weather conditions.
The measure aims to manage water distribution efficiently and minimize inconvenience caused by prolonged daily interruptions.
Accordingly, scheduled water cuts will be in effect until the 10th of this month in several areas of the district.
In Battaramulla, Pamankada, Wellawatte, and Nawela areas, water supply will be interrupted for three hours from 10.00 p.m. to 1.00 a.m. every other day, starting from yesterday.
Meanwhile, in Padukka, Homagama, and Pelanwatta, water supply will be suspended for 24 hours starting from 8.00 p.m. yesterday, followed by a continuous supply for the next three days.
