Renowned actress and former parliamentarian Malani Fonseka has passed away at the age of 78 in Colombo.
Fondly known as the "Queen of Sri Lankan Cinema," she had been ill for some time. Fonseka's funeral will be held with full state honours the day after tomorrow. Details regarding the funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
