President Anura will leave for the United States tonight (22)

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will leave for the United States tonight (22) to take part in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

He is scheduled to address the Assembly on Wednesday (24) at 3.15 p.m. local time. During the visit, the President will also hold bilateral discussions with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and several world leaders.

In addition, he will meet with members of the Sri Lankan community living in the United States.

The President will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism Vijitha Herath.
