He studied at Nalanda College, Colombo 10, and completed his Master's degree in Business Administraion (MBA) at the University of Sri Jayawardenepura, Sri Lanka.
He also completed a postgraduate Diploma in Business Management at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Mr Gihan de Silva is a Presidential Task Force member of the "Clean Sri Lanka" Programme.
