A meeting was held today (27) at the Presidential Secretariat between President Anura Kumara Disanayake and the Ambassador of Egypt to Sri Lanka, H.E. Adel Ibrahim Ahmed Ibrahim.
The discussions focused on strengthening the longstanding bilateral relationship between Sri Lanka and Egypt, as well as addressing issues related to tourism and investment sectors in both countries.
The current situation in the Middle East region, along with the new government's Middle East policy, which was praised by the Ambassador, was also a key point of attention during the meeting.
The event was attended by Senior Additional Secretary to the President Roshan Gamage and
Counsellor of the Embassy to the Arab Republic of Egypt Mohamed Mady.
