Dates Announced for GCE O/L Aesthetic Practical Examinations 2025 (2026)

The Department of Examinations has announced that the practical tests for the Aesthetic subjects of the GCE Ordinary Level Examination 2025 (2026) will be held from April 22 to May 4 at 1,198 examination centers islandwide.

The listening test for Western Music (Subject Code 41) will be conducted on April 26 at the same centers where the practical examinations are held.

The department further stated that for subjects including Oriental Music, Western Music, Carnatic Music, Bharatha Dance, Drama and Theatre (Sinhala, Tamil, and English), and Indigenous Dance, the final results will be determined based on both written and practical examinations. Therefore, it is mandatory for candidates to appear for both components, and results will not be issued to those who fail to do so.

Admission cards and timetables for school candidates have been sent to respective principals, while those of private candidates have been posted to the addresses provided in their applications.

If there are any amendments related to subjects, medium, or other details in the admission cards, candidates are advised to immediately inform the School Examinations Organization and Results Branch of the Department of Examinations for necessary corrections.

Principals who have not received admission cards should provide details such as school number, school name, and address, while private candidates should submit their name, address, examination number, and relevant subject details to the department via telephone numbers 011-2784208, 011-2784537, 011-2784422, hotline 1911, or fax 011-2784422.

Additionally, admission cards can be downloaded from today (10) by visiting the official website www.doenets.lk and entering the examination number.
