96% of Intern Doctors Apply for Appointments as Application Process Closes

The Ministry of Health has concluded the acceptance of applications for post-intern medical appointments today (04) at 12.00 noon, as scheduled.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health and Mass Media, out of 453 doctors who completed their internship training this time, 435 have successfully applied for appointments, representing 96% of the total.

The Ministry stated that the process of assigning these medical officers to hospitals and healthcare institutions will be carried out based on their preferences and the official merit list. These placements will be conducted through a transparent and scientific methodology, with the aim of addressing the existing shortages of medical professionals across the island.

Details including the list of selected candidates, their assigned workplaces, and the dates they are required to report for duty will be announced by the Ministry in due course.
