In March the Canadian parliament agreed to expand the country's campaign against ISIS into Syria nevertheless that the government of that country consider it a violation of its soveragnity.

Canadian air strikes against ISIS were previously limited to Iraq that started August 8 of lasyt year. Canada is the first NATO country, other than the US, to strike inside Syria.

Canada's mission against ISIS has also been extended for one year, beyond October's election and well into 2016.

The US expanded its air strike campaign against the terorrist group into Syria since September 23, 2014.

Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates have also carried out similar strikes.
