Sri Lankan javelin thrower Rumesha Tharanga secured first place in the men’s javelin throw at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship held in Budapest, Hungary, last night (13), featuring some of the world’s leading athletes.
Tharanga recorded a throw of 91.09 metres to claim the top spot in the event.
The victory marks another significant milestone in Tharanga’s international athletics career and adds another proud achievement to Sri Lanka’s sporting history.
