Sri Lanka's Commonwealth Games men's javelin throw gold medalist, Rumesh Tharanga, returned to the island today (04).
Competing at the Scotstoun Stadium in Scotland, Tharanga secured the gold medal with a remarkable throw of 89.75 metres at the 2026 Commonwealth Games. His victory also marked Sri Lanka's first Commonwealth Games athletics gold medal in 20 years.
