Change of venue and date for 2nd ODI - Sri Lanka Vs. Pakistan

    August 24, 2014

At a meeting held on Saturday, a decision has been taken to conduct the 2nd ODI in Hambanthota due to the bad weather condition in Colombo.

The Match is advanced by one day to the 26th of August 2014 and will be played as a Day Night game and 27th of August would be the Rain Reserve Day.

This decision has been taken on a request from the National Curator where he had confirmed that the ground will not be fit to play the 2nd ODI in Colombo on the 27th of August 2014. Due to the continuous bad weather condition the ground is soggy and the pitch is not in good playing condition since it has been covered for the last few days. 3 days of sunshine will be needed to bring back the ground to a normal condition.

This decision has been taken with the consent of the two teams and the host broadcaster Ten Sports.

Whilst the tickets purchased for the Colombo game will be valid for this game, all unutilized tickets will be refunded by Sri Lanka Cricket from the 2nd September to 10th September 2014 between 9 am and 4 pm.(KH)
