    President Sirisena condoles death of Saudi King Abdullah
    President Maithripala Sirisena today  expressed his deepest condolences and offered sympathy to the people of Saudi Arabia on the death of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia.

    Abdullah ibn Abdilaziz  the King of Saudi Arabia  passed away early hours of this morning at the age of 90. 

     

    He was the King of Saudi Arabia from 2005 to 2015. He ascended to the throne on 1 August 2005.

     

    Sri Lanka has diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia since 1974, and the two countries have continued excellent friendship and the best relations.
