Donations handed over to ‘Buddhist Renaissance Fund’

Donations received to the ‘Buddhist Renaissance Fund’ to improve the facilities at places of Buddhist worship were handed over to President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat on 4th April.

The Chief Incumbent of Sri Padasthanaya, Ven. Bengamuwe Dhammadinna Nayaka Thera, and representatives of the Kalutara Bodhi Trust, the Buddhist Association of the Civil Security Department, Vogue Jewelers, DAMRO and several private institutions, handed over their donations on this occasion.

Maha Sangha, Minister of Justice and Buddha Sasana Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, Deputy Minister of Justice Sarathi Dushmantha Mithrapala, Secretary to the President, P.B Abeykoon, and Secretary to the Finance Ministry, R.H.S Samarathunghe also participated.
