At the meeting the President assured to extend the maximum support for the improvement of Sri Lanka cricket.

Minister of Sports Dayasiri Jayasekara and President of Sri Lanka Cricket, Thilanga Sumathipala recalling the victories of Sri Lanka cricket during last two years expressed their appreciation about the support given by President.

A banquet was hosted by the president for the team and the Board members and posed for a group photograph with the victorious cricketers of 2016 and 2017.

The president of the Asian Cricket Council Shaharyar M. Khan, the president of Bangladesh Cricket Board Nazmul Hassan and BCB Chief Executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury also joined the occasion.
