He made these observations yesterday participating in the committee stage debated of the budget 2016 in Parliament.

 

 

Before January 08, there was a growing diplomatic isolation for the island nation but the election of Maithripala Sirisena as President of Sri Lanka on January 8, 2015 triggered unexpected and positive changes, said the Minister.   Today,  the country is going on the right direction and has much support from the international community said the Minister and added that it is the responsibility of all MPs' to protect human rights and establish reconciliation.
