The minister made this observations in response to a question raised by UPFA Matara district MP Dullas Alahapperuma in Parliament.

Minister Kariyawasam said that there are more than 850 vacancies in the country's education administrative service and we are awaiting recommendations of the Public Service Commission to fill these vacancies. Once recommendations are received from PSC, action will be taken to fill these vacancies. after recommendations from the Public Services Commission,the Minister added.
