Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa said on the occasion of the first joint sitting of Indian Parliament, he has instructed officials to release the 78 Indian fishermen in Sri Lankan custody.
Also Presiddent Rajapaksa in a Twitter message has said he welcomes India’s release of 13 Sri Lankan fishermen on Monday. The President issuing another Twitter message further states he look forward to the release of all remaining Sri Lankan fishermen in Indian custody at the earliest. (KH/SI)
