    More lands released to Jaffna people

    A stretch of land in Jaffna has been released by the Sri Lanka Army on Thursday (30th Nov.).

     

    According to Army media, a 29-acre stretch of land, in the J/244 Vasavilan Grama Niladari sector, including the Roman Catholic Tamil Mixed School and Our Lady of Mary Carmel Church, bordering the Army Cantonment in Palaly was handed back by the Security Forces Headquarters -Jaffna.

     

    The documents related to the release of lands were officially handed over to the District Secretary of Jaffna, Nagalingam Vedanayaham by Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna (SFHQ-J), during brief the ceremony held at Ottampalam in Vasuvillan, Jaffna.
