The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai together with the India Business Group (IBG) organised a business networking session at the Consulate with the participation of 17 senior management officials representing freight forwarding, shipping and tourism sectors, recently.
The IBG is a trade council and chamber of commerce that mentors and supports Indian businesses to develop into global corporations.
MendisOne Group, a Sri Lankan group of companies engaged in shipping, trading, logistics, travel, and 3D animation also attended the session. Acting Consul General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai, Shirani Ariyarathne introduced Chairman of the MendisOne Group, Rohitha Mendis to the CEO of IBG and other participants followed by an introduction to the MendisOne group by the Chairman.
The Indian companies attended in the networking session engaged in discussions with Chairman Mendis for mutual growth, and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cross-border business opportunities. Chairman Mendis expressed his optimism about the prospects of strengthening ties with logistics and tourism companies of India.
