The Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the People’s Bank of China entered into a Bilateral Investment Agreement on Bond Investment on Monday (25), enabling Central Bank of Sri Lanka to further diversify its reserves management activities into Chinese Renminbi denominated assets. As a result, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka could now access one of the largest and growing securities markets in the world, while also enhancing the cooperation between the two central banks, and the two countries.

The final stage of AFC Presidents Cup 2014 will be held  at Sugathadasa Stadium Colombo from 20th to 26th September with the finals being scheduled to be played on 26th September , 2014.  Sri Lanka Air Force has qualified to play in this year's final round and altogether 6 teams will play for the championship in 2 groups.
