Awareness Progrfams on Draft National Policy Framework for Social Integration in Nuwara Eliya
August 30, 2014An awareness programme on the draft National Policy Framework for Social Integration organized by the National Languages and Social Integration Ministry and with the coordination of the Nuwara Eliya District Secretariat, was held on Thursday (28). The programme was held under the patronage of National Languages and Social Integration Ministry Secretary Ms.Malkanthi Wickremasinghe and the Nuwara Eliya District Secretary D.P.G.Kumarasirighe.
Under the government's Mahindodaya Technical Laboratories program to develop 1,000 secondary schools, technical laboratories that were established in 15 achools, at a total cost of 270 million rupees in the districts of moneragala and Badulla will be vested with the students on 31st August and 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th September.
WHO wants regulation on e-cigarettes
August 29, 2014The World Health Organisation (WHO) has red flagged the growing market for e-cigarettes in India, underlining that the use of the devices is no less harmful than traditional cigarettes, said a news report in The Hindu.
