Assistant Director at the Disaster Managemen Centre Pradeep Kodippili said that three others had been injured and two others still remain missing.

The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said the area had experienced continuous rain in the last few days.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Landslide Research and Risk Management Division of the National Building Research Organisation R.M.A.S. Bandara stated that investigations have commenced into the landslide that occurred on Friday.
