'India - Sri Lanka Annual Defense Dialogue' was inaugurated in 2012 as a forum for exchange of views on defiance cooperation initiatives, regional and maritime security issues and for further strengthening bilateral defense ties between the two neighboring nations.
Sri Lankan Defense Secretary Karunasena Hettiarachchi and Indian Defense Secretary G Mohan Kumar are expected to meet during the discussions. The two-day (Sept 21 - 22) cordial discussions, would focus on several issues of bilateral importance, the Army said.
During their stay, the Sri Lankan delegation is also scheduled to call on several high ranking officials of the Indian defense establishment.
