Showery weather in the southwestern parts and strong winds over the island and neighboring sea areas will continue to prevail, the Met Dept. says.
Showers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces. Showers may extend to North western province too.
Thundershowers will develop at a few places in the Eastern and Uva provinces after 4.00 pm.
The Met Dept.also predicts temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.
