The Met Dept. says showers will occur at times in the Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and interior parts of the Colombo, Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts. Several spells of showers will occur in the North Western province and the coastal areas of Colombo, Kalutara Galle and Matara districts.
Thundershowers may develop at a few places in the Uva and Eastern provinces during the period from 4 pm to 8 pm.
Southwest monsoonal winds can strengthen up to 50 kmph at times over the country (particularly over central hills) and Northwestern & Southeastern sea areas.
