The Met Dept. forecasts showers to occur at several places in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces.
Thundershowers may develop at a few places in the Uva and Eastern provinces during the period from 2 pm to 8 pm.
Southwest monsoonal winds can strengthen up to 50-60 kmph at times over the country (particularly over central hills) and suburb sea areas.
