These buildings will be allocated for the prospective investors on a long term lease basis to recover the expenditure incurred by the government for the construction of these buildings.

This decision had been taken due to  reluctance of the investors to carry out infrastructure development activities since these areas come under the remote districts of Mulativu and Mannar.

A survey carried out has revealed that over 2500 youth are being prepared to employ in the Apparel industry and about 500 youth have already gained experience in the field through employment in apparel industry outside these areas.
 

These industrial estates will help to elevate income level and the living condition of the unemployed and the resettled people in the relevant areas.
