Showers will occur at several places in the sea area off the coast extending from Mannar to Hambantota via Puttalam and Galle, the Met Dept. forecasts. Showers or thundershowers also expected at several places in the other sea areas during the afternoon or evening.
Winds will be South-westerly and speed will be 20-40 kmph.
The sea area extending from Colombo to Trincomalee via Kankesanthurai and the sea area extending from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50-60 kmph at times.
